To those people who do not wish to pop pills to kill pain, this is a good and effective method to consider when a frequent headaches comes on.
The fingers of our hands and toes of our feet are mapped to our head by meridians running through the body. The right hand and its fingers are associated with the right half including the neck and head. Similarly the left hand and fingers are associated with the left half of the body including the neck and head. The same applies to the feet.
If the fingers of the hand were placed in front of the face with the palm facing away from the face, you can determine the relationship between each finger with each of the 10 zones or meridians on the head.
The thumbs associate with the center of the head. The index fingers a little distance away to the left and the right, over the inside of the eyes. The middle fingers toward the center/outer edge of the eyes. The ring fingers near the temples. And the baby fingers associate with the left and right edges of the head and ears.
When we have a Pressure Headaches one effective technique is to use the clothes peg, preferably the wooden ones, if they can still be found. Alternatively, if you can find some kind of clip that doesn’t apply too much pressure that it blocks the blood flow, you can use that too.
Knowing the association between the fingers and the zones or meridians on the head, you can use the pegs on specific fingers to deal with the ache in a specific location of the head.
If the Pressure Headaches is on the right side of the body, over the eye or behind the eye, place the clothes peg on the index and middle fingers of the right hand and leave it on for as long as possible. The continuous pressure has a sedative effect and would eventually block the pain.

Do you ever feel like you know just enough about Depression Help to be dangerous? Let’s see if we can fill in some of the gaps with the latest info from Depression Help experts.
We now know that there are cures for many of the diseases that are considered to be non-curable. If you go to Europe or Asia - you will find many of these diseases being cured. We in the US are so pre-occupied with profit that we prefer treatment to cure.
It brings in more money on a consistent basis. But, in spite of all that there are those that dare to challenge the establishment and offer to those who need it the cure for so many diseases.
Depression
All persons I have seen with clinical Depression Help had small roundworms in the brain. Is it any wonder that the brain can’t make enough neurotransmitters or gets them out of balance? The usual worms are hookworms (Anclystoma), Ascaris of cats and dogs, Trichinellas and Strongyloides.
Although it is commonly believed that hookworms penetrate the skin when walking barefoot on earth, this appears to be a negligible route. The important routes are eating animal filth and inhaling filthy dust. Our pets pick these worms up daily. We get them and give them in constant exchange with our pets and family members.
Diapering babies is an especially hazardous, though necessary, business. Letting little children clean up after their own bowel movements is even more hazardous. Hands should be sanitized with grain alcohol after dealing with bowel contents, whether your own, your child’s or an animal’s.
If you clean up a messy diaper and then your hands well with soap, then go to make the chopped salad for dinner, you’re sure to give each family member a dose of whatever the baby has. It was hiding under your fingernails.
Animals clean up the easy way: they simply lick the youngster’s bottom. But, we humans are not strong enough to take on a dose of bottom with each meal. We must sanitize our hands.

The following article presents the very latest information on Cholesterol Level . If you have a particular interest in Cholesterol Level , then this informative article is required reading.
Do you know that every year, about 500,000 persons in America suffer from heart disease? One of the main reasons behind this huge number is high cholesterol levels. According to studies, if people lower their cholesterol levels, the risk of heart disease will be reduced by up to 40 percent. But what are these cholesterol levels?
Cholesterol levels include the numbers that will indicate whether the cholesterol in your body is desirable, borderline, or less desirable and high risk. By knowing these levels, you will become aware of your condition, allowing you to take the necessary measures to reduce the risk of heart disease.
If your cholesterol has already reached the high-risk level, you can seek medical attention at once for cholesterol medication.
The numbers of cholesterol levels include the average figures for total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and LDL cholesterol.
The total cholesterol is HDL cholesterol and LDL cholesterol combined. The ideal level for this is approximately 200mg/dL or less. This is a desirable level and means that you have a relatively small risk of heart attack.
But if the level is 200 to 240mg/dL, it is already considered borderline. Any figure higher than 240mg/dL means you are at a high risk for both heart attack and stroke.
Meanwhile, the desirable level for HDL cholesterol level is above 45mg/dL, the HDL borderline is 35 to 45mg/dL, and high risk is below 35mg/dL. For LDL cholesterol, the desirable figure is below 130mg/dL, borderline is 130 to 160mg/dL, and high risk is above 160mg/dL.

You’ve heard all the horror stories about menopause symptoms right? Some of them can make even the bravest women cringe; no wonder the topic is often avoided like the plague by those yet to reach this natural stage in a women’s life.
The idea of getting the symptoms of menopause or actually going through it? Undoubtedly those experiencing the many symptoms will vote for the latter. So what is the point of this article? Wouldn’t a more sensible approach be to know as much about menopause as you possibly can so when it’s your turn you’ll be better equipped mentally to handle it?
There are lots of questions being thrown out in this piece but the bottom line is…unless you are from an alien race or unique, you will experience the symptoms of menopause.
We are not suggesting doing a bachelor’s degree on menopause symptoms but only to know what they are when they arrive. Let’s face it, you are going to be faced with handling the physical stresses they may bring but it will be a heck of a lot easier to handle them with a weel prepared mind.
Physical symptoms such as irregular bleeding, night sweats and hot flashes are part and parcel of this stage but how does one cope when mood swings come into play or bouts of depression set in?
Okay, not every woman experiences the same degree of symptoms; some “strike the jackpot” while others will escape relatively unscathed but recognizing what you are going through is all part of a prepared mind.
In most cases, mental stress is more debilitating than physical stress. Take the time to discuss the symptoms of menopause with your doctor. Know what the early signs are. Irregular periods can be a scary thing to deal with but before you start to think you’ve contracted something life threatening, be aware, particularly if you are in your forties, it could be the first signs of menopause.
Understanding what it is and why it occurs will make you much more prepared to handle the symptoms it throws at you when it’s your time.
The cost of laser eye surgery has stabilized over the past 12 months after steadily increasing for a number of years.
For example, five years ago the average cost of laser eye surgery per eye was about $1500 and rose by about $100 a year. Today, that cost is about $2000 per eye. The steady rise is understandable considering the rapid increase in technology with more expensive and cutting edge equipment being used.
Bargain Based Prices
People considering laser eye surgery may be tempted by the apparent bargains being advertised, some as low as $500 however, be careful to check thoroughly what’s involved with these procedures.
Low prices won’t be available to everyone and the price can increase significantly when other factors are taken into account. Laser Eye Surgery Cost
There have been a number of new procedures introduced to laser eye surgery and this again is a big factor in the overall cost of procedures. Testing before surgery is very much recommended and anyone not going through some type of pre-operative testing would be putting themselves at risk.
With testing though comes cost in most cases and while a procedure is advertised at what appears to be a great price, by the time the the patient has gone from the initial consultation, the testing and then the actual procedure, the amount quoted on the bill is going to look a lot different than the original price which attracted their attention in the first place.
Here are some questions you need to ask before proceeding with laser eye surgery:
- Exactly what are you getting for the price advertised?
- Establish what’s not involved in the actual price.
_ Why are the extras needed?
- Will it be risky for you if you take shortcuts?
- Is it expensive?
The cost of laser eye surgery in many cases is almost insignificant given the benefits obtained from the procedure.
Is there such a thing as an infertility symptom? Symptoms are present in many conditions and a tell tale sign that something may be amiss. The truth is, infertility cannot really be determined by symptoms, I mean, what are you looking for; a rash, a cough, a sore toe.
As far as an infertility symptom is concerned, maybe a series of signs or even something a little different than the norm may be an indication something is not quite right. These could be classified as symptoms.
Let’s take a look at some of the things which may occur within a woman’s life that may be an alert to something a little more sinister.
Infertility Symptoms?
- Erractic menstrual cycles could be a tell tale sign. For example, if a woman misses her menstrual cycle what can she determine. Is it a sign of infertility perhaps? What about fibroid issues or even worse, something malignant.
- Hormone issues may be another tell tale sign such as low hormone levels during the initial and final stages of a menstrual cycle.
- Lack of cervical fluid is another possible cause of infertility issues. Carrying the sperm to the egg via cervical fluid is nature’s way of giving the former an opportunity to fertilize the eggs. But a lack of cervical fluid will seriously hamper the sperm’s ability to complete it’s task and if this is occurring unbeknown to you, then it’s another possible symptom for infertility issues.
- Issues in a woman’s pelvic region can be a signal of a number of conditions. Constant pain in this area could be related to several things whether they be fibroid complaints or infection. Conception for women when problems are occurring in this region could be extremely difficult. Again, another possible infertility symptom in a sense.
No conception after a year would certainly “ring the alarm bells” and is probably the true infertility symptom to go by.

When most people think of Body Massage , what comes to mind is usually basic information that’s not particularly interesting or beneficial. But there’s a lot more to Massage therapy than just the basics.
The ancient civilizations of the Chinese, Egyptians, Hindus and Persians used massage therapy as a principal treatment for many an ailment. Now, the fact that Americans spend 6 billion dollars annually on massage therapy gives an idea of its popularity in treating a wide range of disorders.
It is important to clearly differentiate massage therapy from sensual massage, as the word ‘massage’ calls to mind massage parlors, which were used to peddle sex. Today, health professionals who are well trained, certified and insured give the therapy in a clinical and comfortable atmosphere.
The more authentic information about Massage therapy you know, the more likely people are to consider you a Massage therapy expert. Read on for even more Massage therapy facts that you can share.
Massage is part art and part science. Hands manipulate the skin, muscles, soft tissues, joints, tendons and ligaments. The therapist strokes, kneads, squeezes, presses or taps to achieve the aim of treatment.
The patient is made comfortable, and some lubricants like oil, cream, jelly or lotion are applied. The therapist keeps the patient covered and exposes only the area that he is working on. A typical massage session lasts about an hour.

How do we achieve and sustain optimum health?
One can start by subscribing to any number of health publications that are plentiful. We are definitely not without resources to obtain information about how to achieve a healthy lifestyle. In my opinion, there are five primary areas that need our attention throughout our lives if we will attain optimal health. These are:
1. Proper Nutrition
2. Physical Exercise
3. Proper Sleep
4. Mental Balance
5. Spiritual Balance
Proper Nutrition is a good starting place. Do you eat to live or live to eat? In order to achieve optimal health one needs to stop eating those things that destroy us and start eating those things that nurture our bodies and minds. Fast foods, sugar products, saturated fats, simple carbohydrates, sodas, chips and fried foods should cause a big “skull and cross-bones emblem” picture to flash in our minds. These foods are poison to our bodies. We will never achieve optimum health if we don’t start eating to live. Eating to live means that we eat on purpose, choosing those foods that build us up, that provide long-term benefits.
The human body is designed for activity. The American lifestyle is, for the most part, sedentary. We are not necessarily lazy; we simply have jobs that require limited physical activity, and when we are not on our jobs we are usually caught up in day-to-day activities that also are bereft of physical labor. To undertake and maintain an exercise program requires time and commitment. However, if you truly desire to obtain optimal health it is necessary to get the proper physical activity on a regular basis.
Most causes of back pain will not show up on x-rays or CT/MRI scans. Back pain occurs as a result of something you have done the day before , a week or month ago that have overworked or injured your back muscles in some way and started an imbalance or deterioration that weeks later led to chronic problem you are actually suffering.
Tension will also build up in the muscle as a result of trauma or strain ,overuse and bad posture. This will weaken the muscle thus causing the body to compensate which will eventually get out of balance. This muscle imbalance will cause the pelvis to move to the wrong position. This will affect the spine which will inturn upset the position of the vertebrae and put pressure on the nerves or discs leading to back pain.
The other muscles will become weak as a result or overuse and tightened up as a result of fatigue. This may result to one of the joints in the spine to cause inflammation and pain.
Most causes of back pain is the result of muscle imbalances because these imbalances will cause undue stress or pressure on a certain area which will cause a strain and thus pain.
So establishing the cause of your pain is very important in finding a proper treatment as a wrong diagnosis can send you in the wrong direction wasting a lot of your time and money.
The most common cause of back pain is due to sprains and strains. Sitting and standing for long hours also cause chronic back pain as standing and sitting for long hours will cause fatigue strain and tension.
Accidents causing fractures to the vertebrae is another cause of back pain.
Scoliosis (curvature of the spine) or scheuermann’s disease( a hereditary back disease causing the rounding of the back) .
Spondylolysis which is defective vertebral archers can cause lower back pain or sciatica.
Ankylosing spondylitis is a form of inflammation of the spine and the sacroiliac joints. This is also a rheumatic disease that can affect other tissue of the body.
A short leg is also the underlying cause of back pain. A short leg ,in fact ,cause muscles imbalance and a person who have this problem will have their pelvis drawn down on that side causing tension to build up in the lower back pain and up along the spine to the neck. In such a situation it is impossible for the spine to curve and the vertebrae in the back become twisted or tilted.
Stress, the body worst enemy, will make the intensity and incidence of your pain much greater than it would otherwise be.
